As many of you know, I’m very close with my nephew Kalin.

Kalin was born with Cerebral Palsy, but he doesn’t let this stop him from being one of the most spirited, happy, kind-hearted and inspirational people I know.

Over the years, the programs and camps offered by Easter Seals London have been of tremendous benefit to Kalin — physically, mentally and socially. Each summer, he goes to Camp Woodeden, which is a fully accessible camp for children with physical disabilities in London, Ont.

As Kalin’s uncle, I’m so grateful he has discovered this camp and this organization, and he has now become an ambassador for Camp Woodeden.

Kalin and I.

If you want to listen to Kalin talk about the importance of Easter Seals Ontario and Camp Woodeden in his life, please take three minutes and watch the following video. Kalin appears at 1:13 and 2:17.

What might surprise you is that Easter Seals London and Camp Woodeden are not funded by the government. They rely on donors to keep their programs running. So, this December, they are holding a Holiday Silent Auction.

There are some baseball items in this auction – including a personal tour of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame from Scott Crawford and I – that I thought might appeal to you.

Below is a brief description of each baseball item in the auction as well as a link to where you can bid. There are also many other non-baseball items in the auction.

The bidding for the auction has been very slow, so please consider bidding if you can.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Please note the auction closes on Sunday, at around 8 p.m. E.T.
