Jose Bautista turns 43 today.

In honour of his birthday, I decided to do some research to see how many Blue Jays’ team records he holds.

Single-Season Franchise Records:

  • Most home runs in a season: 54 in 2010
  • Highest WAR (Wins Above Replacement) in a season: 8.3 in 2011
  • Highest oWAR (Offensive Wins Above Replacement) in a season: 8.4 in 2011
  • Most walks in a season: 132 in 2011
  • Best at bat per home run ratio: 10.5 in 2010
  • Best Win Probability Added in a season: 8.0 in 2011

Career Franchise Records

  • Highest career WAR among position players: 38.3
  • Most post-season home runs: 6 (tied with Joe Carter)
  • Most All-Star Game Selections (position player): 6
  • Most Hank Aaron Awards (as AL’s top hitter): 2
  • Most Silver Slugger Awards: 3 (tied with Carlos Delgado and George Bell)

2nd on Blue Jays’ All-Time Career Stats Lists:

  • 288 home runs
  • 790 runs
  • 803 walks
  • 864 Runs Created
  • 37 oWAR

2nd on Blue Jays’ Single-Season Stats Lists:

  • .617 slugging percentage in 2010
  • 182 Adjusted OPS+ in 2011
  • 92 extra-base hits in 2010
  • 24 intentional walks in 2011

3rd on Blue Jays’ All-Time Career Stats Lists:

  • 2,210 total bases
  • 766 RBIs
  • 519 extra-base hits
  • 49 intentional walks
  • 15.2 at bats per home run

3rd on Blue Jays’ Single-Season Stats Lists:

  • .447 OBP in 2011
  • .608 slugging percentage in 2011
  • 1.056 OPS in 2011
