The Canadian Baseball History Conference is set to take place in Toronto on November 4 and 5.

Baseball historian and Centre for Canadian Baseball Research co-founder Andrew North is once again the event’s organizer.

The sixth annual Canadian Baseball History Conference will include 16 presentations over two days.

Attendees can expect to learn about everything from Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Harry Simmons to Labatt Park in London, Ont., to the race-related baseball riots in Toronto and Saskatchewan. There will also be presentations highlighting Marshall McLuhan’s thoughts on baseball and the use of the telegraph in Canadian baseball broadcasting.

The conference will be held at Ketchum Hall, Royal St. George’s College in Toronto.

The registration fee is $50. To register, you can send an E-transfer to Andrew North at, or mail a cheque payable to Centre for Canadian Baseball Research to:

398 Queen St. E.,
P.O. Box 3305
St. Marys, ON N4X 0A6

More details about the event and the presentations, can be found here.

Writer’s Note: I will be attending the event. I have attended it every year and Andrew North does an outstanding job of organizing it. I learn a lot every year.
