OTTAWA – A signed bat used by future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols is up for bidding along with some terrific fantasy sports packages and sports memorabilia as Baseball Canada has revealed its auction list ahead of the 19th annual Baseball Canada Awards Banquet and Fundraiser that will take place on Saturday in Toronto.
Fantasy sports packages offered by former big leaguer Ryan Dempster (Chicago Cubs/Wrigley Field) and former Super Bowl champion Luke Willson along with a WestJet travel package that could include tickets to watch Canada at the World Baseball Classic and a suite to watch BLINK 182 in Toronto are also on the list.
Some terrific, autographed memorabilia from the likes of Larry Walker, Justin Morneau, Russell Martin, Freddie Freeman, Mike Soroka, Josh Naylor, Tyler O’Neill, Cal Quantrill, Jose Abreu, Kevin Gausman, Randal Grichuk and John Tavares can also be found on the auction list.
A package to attend the MLB All-Star Week in Seattle (Futures Game, Home Run Derby, All-Star Game) is also up for bids along with Toronto Blue Jays ticket packages, Alabama, and Army/Navy football tickets, and MLB autographed jerseys, bats and baseballs.
If you wish to place a bid on any of the items (link below), please send an e-mail with your name, item number, bid amount and phone number with subject line “Gala Auction” to firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline for submitting bids via e-mail ends at 11:59 pm E.T. on Friday January 13, but will continue on site at the Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel until the conclusion of the intermission prior to the awards presentation.
Winning bids for people attending the banquet can pay by cash, debit or credit card on January 14. Winners not attending will be notified via email following the banquet.
