In a pre-game ceremony on Saturday, the Intercounty Baseball League's Chatham Barnstormers honoured former Montreal Expos right-hander and Chatham, Ont., native Bill Atkinson by unveiling a portrait of him at Fergie Jenkins Field.
Former Montreal Expos left-hander Denny Lemaster passed away on July 24 in Monroe, Ga., at the age of 85. No cause of death has been released.
Mike Wegener, a pitcher on the Montreal Expos’ first team, passed away on December 6 at the age of 77.
Former Montreal Expos pitcher Tom Walker died on Monday at the age of 74. The Pittsburgh Pirates announced his death on social media.
