Longtime Baseball Canada executive director Jim Baba passed away on Friday at the age of 69. My condolences to his family and the staff at Baseball Canada.

Junior National Team alum and former big league left-hander Adam Loewen (Surrey, B.C.) will attempt a comeback to play for Canada at the World Baseball Classic. The 38-year-old left-hander hasn’t thrown a pitch or hit in an international competition for Canada since 2019, but given his track record, no one should bet against him.
