The Miami Marlins have signed Cal Quantrill (Port Hope, Ont.) to a one-year, $3.5-million contract.
Axford to be honoured by Brewers, Toro signs with Red Sox
Former closer John Axford (Port Dover, Ont.) will be inducted on to the Milwaukee Brewers Wall of Honor this summer. Meanwhile, infielder Abraham Toro (Longueuil, Que.) has signed with the Boston Red Sox.
